Counselling for Children (9+)
If you are concerned about a young person navigating challenges, worries, or distress it can be hard to know how to help them.

As an integrative therapist, it is my job to understand your needs and draw upon my various skills to tailor our sessions to help you
If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re looking for some support for yourself or a child or young person in your life.
You (or your young person) are most likely experiencing upset, feeling bothered or unsettled by thoughts, feelings or behaviours. Sometimes sharing these can help ‘lift the fog’ and give a sense of relief.
Finding the right person to talk to may be feeling a little overwhelming. You might be reading a lot of information about different types of therapy, as well as therapist’s qualifications and methods. Working out what you need and what’s on offer might be confusing. Let me simplify things a bit.
As an integrative therapist, it is my job to understand your needs and draw upon my various skills to tailor our sessions to help you.
People come for therapy for many different reasons. While counselling can sometimes feel challenging, many report enjoying the experience, the potential for change and positive outcomes. Talking therapy, in whatever form, can help unlock your inner muddles.
What’s an integrative therapist?
Integrative therapists are trained to work by combining a variety of approaches. My core modality is Person Centred Therapy (PCT) but I can work flexibly using a variety of techniques to meet your individual needs. This may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Creative and Symbolic strategies for a Proactive Approach.
